Lumia 900 - Day 3 (Photo Comparison)

Lumia 900 vs iPhone 4s - Photo comparison

This post is obviously a bit late and there won’t be a lot of commentary in it. Below are some image comparisons between the Lumia 900 and the iPhone 4s. As you have probably read on other sites, the iPhone camera is the dominate force in photo quality. This is especially true in low lite photos. One place the Lumia beats the iPhone however is in the front facing camera. At time of post I don’t have image comparisons on the front facing cameras, but I will follow up with them later. Now to the photos.

As you can see from the above images the iPhone has much more detail and contrast. Here are a couple more images.

The Lumia doesn’t take horrible pictures and the photos are easily corrected using your choice of photo editing software. However when you put a photo from the Lumia next to an iPhone photo, it really just makes the Lumia photo look sub-par.

note: The above images are untouched, other than sizing them down for this post

Bing Cleans Up

parislemon:

Josh Constine:

While Google keeps cramming its search results pages full of tools and social content, today Bing confirmed with me the full roll out a redesigned search results page that completely clears the left sidebar, and replaces the tabbed header with a cleaner set of links. Bing Facebook integration is also more subtle now, instead of plastering names and faces beneath Liked results.

This more relaxing, dare I say zen, design gives Google a more claustrophobic and exhausting feel by comparison.

Bing now looks so much better. And smart.
